Let’s be honest for a sec—freelancing can sometimes feel like one big identity crisis, can’t it?
One moment you’re writing up a quote like a boss. The next, you’re deep in your feels because a client ghosted you.
You’re dreaming up new offers, organising your Notion, replying to DMs, trying to look professional and stay inspired—while also wondering why your bank account doesn’t reflect your to-do list. 😅
And somehow, through it all, you’re supposed to “know your worth” and “charge your value” and “build a business that feels aligned.”
But what does that actually mean?
Here’s the truth I’ve found:
Before you can build a business that fits, you need to know who it’s meant to fit.
Yep—you.
And that’s exactly why I made this quiz.
→ Take the quiz: Are You a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda or Samantha… in Business?

The Business Quiz That’s Actually a Mirror (with Heels On)
If you didn’t know this about me—I love Sex and the City. Like, love-love.
From late-night rewatching of the box sets to streaming And Just Like That with my feet up and a cup of tea. (No shame. Full joy.)
And as I was watching the final season, I had a thought:
What if these women—their quirks, their boldness, their vulnerability—what if they were creative freelancers?
What if Carrie ran a Substack?
What if Charlotte sold semi-custom brand kits on Etsy?
Miranda would definitely be running a strategic design agency.
And Samantha? CEO of her own brand empire, thank you very much.
For fun, ja.
But also?
Because the more creatives I work with, the more I see this:
You’re not just trying to price better, find more clients, or build systems.
You’re trying to do all that while being true to who you are.
And that? That’s the real challenge.
Which Business Archetype Are You Right Now?
Here’s the vibe:
👉 Carrie — The Dreamer. Intuitive, creative, full of ideas, but sometimes overwhelmed by the business side of things.
👉 Charlotte — The Nurturer. Loyal, organised, emotionally invested in your work—but sometimes afraid to take bold leaps.
👉 Miranda — The Strategist. You’ve got boundaries, plans, and spreadsheets… but you might be a bit stuck in your head.
👉 Samantha — The Powerhouse. Bold, confident, doesn’t ask for permission—but might be forgetting to rest or feel.
And the kicker?
You’re probably a mix of all four.
But in this season of your life or business—one of them is leading.
That’s the beauty of the quiz. It gives you a little mirror.
Not to label you.
But to give you language.
To give you clarity.
To help you say, “Ah. That’s why I feel like this. That’s what I need more of right now.”
What I’ve Learned (and What I Hope You Do Too)
We’re not meant to fit into one business blueprint.
We don’t all thrive on 5am morning routines, or quarterly targets, or having “ideal client avatars.”
Some of us thrive when we make things beautiful.
Some of us need order.
Some of us want to go slow.
Some of us need a push.
Some of us need a pause.
And some of us? Just need a friend to remind us that we’re not broken. We’re just different.
So if you’re a Carrie with too many ideas and no structure—add structure, but don’t lose the magic.
If you’re a Charlotte second-guessing yourself—back yourself like you back your best friend.
If you’re a Miranda caught up in systems—don’t forget to feel the work again.
And if you’re a Samantha in full boss mode—remember your why. That soft heart behind the sharp edges.

A Little Nudge to End With
We don’t need to “become” someone else to run a successful business.
We just need to know who we are right now.
And work with that.
So, lovely creative—take the quiz.
Have a little fun with it. Share your result. Let it spark something deeper.
Because the more you know yourself, the better you can design a life—and a business—that fits like your favourite pair of shoes.
The real kind. Not the ones that look good on Instagram but give you blisters. 😉
You’re not behind.
You’re not too much.
You’re not alone.
Design your life, wherever you are.
Love,
Nelett
