Amid uncertainty and chaos, our COO and partner, Hermie, emerged as our guiding light. With the demand skyrocketing for PPE and sanitisers, he took charge, pivoting our operations to meet the urgent needs of the hour. During these testing times, NXA Brand Facilitator’s true spirit shone brightly—resourceful, agile, and always ready to face any challenge head-on.
Unveiling a Profound Passion: The Namibian Chemical Line: As life slowly regained its footing after the pandemic storm, Hermie’s unwavering passion for a Namibian chemical line took centre stage. Fueled by a cherished dream, he embarked on a tireless quest of research, experiments, and development. And guess what? In 2022, we proudly unveiled the a Namibian Made Washing Powder—a testament to Hermie’s unwavering commitment and ability to find local expertise.
An Unforeseen Learning Curve for a Graphic Designer: Let’s talk about creativity and its power to pivot—oh boy, did I have my fair share of challenges! Navigating the technicalities of colour use and the delicate dance between ink and plastic wasn’t a walk in the park. But you know what they say—every obstacle is an opportunity for creativity to shine! We even had to give our packaging a makeover when folks didn’t quite get the vibe of the first design. Looking back, I’ll admit the initial image use lacked thorough research. Lessons learned, and in the end, we nailed it with a unique and unmistakable brand identity that showcases our Namibian roots while appealing to an international market.
A Bright Future: Launch and Beyond: Fast forward to 2023, and boy, are we on cloud nine! The success of the Namibian NXA! Washing Powder has been nothing short of a rocket launch! Partnering with a Namibian distributor, we’re now setting our sights on an exciting horizon filled with endless possibilities. As the silent partner in this venture, I’ll lead the Creative strategy and direction to the best of my abilities, ensuring our brand shines bright on every shelf.
